C2Call, Werl announced today a ground breaking innovation that allows VoIP calls through any system with LCD monitor. A little know feature is the build in LCD back panel protection sensor that is part of the VESA. The sensor automatically shuts down the Super Video Graphics Array before it can hit the Extended Wide Quarter Video Graphics Array.

We now managed to read out this sensor form any common LCD monitor and use the monitor as microphone. When talking the LCD panel starts swinging, unseen to eye, an effect called retina display. After FriendCaller was referred by many well-known blogs worldwide, even got a report in a local newspaper, last week a team of the german TV station called WDR visited us in our office in Werl.

For us it was definitely very interesting to see how a television team works.
Our CTO Michael Knecht was interviewed extensively about FriendCaller and they have filmed such typical scenes of the office everyday.
