How to Make Group Video Calls on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad?

We introduced a tutorial video for how to make a Free Video Call on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.  In case anyone doesn’t know how to make a Group Video Call on iPhoneiPad or iPod touch via FriendCaller, we have made this short tutorial for you. Just follow through these simple steps. Its definitely quite an easy one :)

  1. To make a Group Video Call, first of all you need to make a ‘Group’.
  2. Open ‘Friends’ from the FriendCaller menu. On the far right corner of the window you will find a ‘+‘ icon. Tap the icon.

  3. A new screen will show you a few options to select from. Tap on ‘New FriendCaller Group’.

  4. Clicking it will lead you to your contacts. Tap the circle located at left to select your Group members. After selecting members tap the ‘Arrow’ at the far right top corner of your screen.Select Group Members
  5. Name the group you created and hit the arrow again.Naming Of Group
  6. All group members whom you added will be notified that a new group has been created.

  7. A few seconds later, you will see the newly created Group visible in your contacts menu.Online Group
  8. Upon tapping the group, a window will slide from below with three options: Video Call, Audio Call and Text / SMS.  By clicking the Green arrow right in front of your group will lead you to the details of your Group members, their online/offline statuses and the same three options. Hit the Video Call icon below the group name to start a Group Video Call with all group participants.

  9. Your screen will show that a Video call is being made to your Group.

  10. As soon as the call connects, you will hear a Voice saying ;
    “The other members have been notified to join the Group Call. Please Wait”
  11. The Group participants will receive a message informing them that a Group Video Call had been started.

  12. When the other participants joins in, their video in real time can be seen.Group members online
  13. Once you are done having Group Conferencing with your friends, tap on the screen to bring up options and press ‘Hang Up’ to terminate your participation. Please note that other group members active in the conference can continue the call. And once the last member of the video call hangs up, the entire Group Call will be terminated and all members will be notified accordingly.

  14. Not only you can make Video Call to a particular group, but following the above steps, you can also make voice conference calls or send one message to all participants within a group. Just select the appropriate action buttons.

On Sunday 26 2012, The CEO of FriendCaller, Martin Feuerhahn, presented demo of FriendCaller at the ShowStoppers, Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. Reporters and journalists from all around the world came and enjoyed FriendCaller display area where Martin along with his team member, Raphael Schrader, presented a remarkable demo of Cross–platform, LIVE Real Group Video Calling over three platforms: Android, iOS (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad) and WebPhone.
