Coming soon: FriendCaller on your Nokia S40 Device

Some time ago, Nokia has asked us if we are interested to create a service to simplify configuring Nokia Series 40 devices with FriendCaller. So we started developing a service that makes it much easier for users to get S40 devices ready for Internet telephony.

And hopefully next week, also Nokia users will be able to make inexpensive internet calls to landlines and mobiles using FriendCaller.

    I tried to download friend caller for my symbian s40 phone as you have written in the blog, but was unble to do so as my phone (Nokia 5130 XpressMusic) doesn’t have the internet telephone option in the connectivity option in the menu. Now what is the way to go forward. Please explain……………

      Hallo Naresh,

      On the one hand, your device does not support SIP and it still has only EDGE speed. In summary, Internet calls (VoIP) are not not working with the Nokia 5130 XpressMusic.
