A recent research report highlighted that 46.8 million Android smartphones were sold worldwide in Q2-2011. They have now secured a huge 43.4% of the market share, beating Apple. Not to forget, last year, Android was breathing with only 17.2% of market share, i.e. 10.7 million sold units.

We at FriendCaller perceived this rapid growth of Android boom a long time back, when we experienced a massive interest in our VoIP app for Android last year. Though, FriendCaller for iOS is still delivering the best audio/video calling experience to our users worldwide, but Android’s new domination and users’ interest have motivated us to bring you an ultimate calling app for it too.

    Microsoft is ready to launch its new Mobile OS “Mango”..just read an article on it. Whether it will be able to seriously challenge Android and iOS is the Big Question.
